Sherise Bailey She/Her | RP (Qualifying)
Sherise Bailey is a Registered Psychotherapist (qualifying). She is a second generation immigrant living in Canada and descending from Caribbean parents.
As a survivor of abuse and trauma, Sherise was led into counselling after working to heal and grow from her own pain. She empathizes with the feelings and emotions of others and meets individuals where they are without shame and judgment. Sherise counsels from a person-centred approach incorporating elements of trauma informed therapy, emotion focussed therapy, DBT (Dialectical Behavioural Therapy), and Internal Family Systems Therapy. She integrates spiritual care and guidance by including contemplative practises to support clients no matter their spiritual or religious beliefs. Cherise supports clients experiencing historic childhood abuse, familial issues and dysfunction, sexual trauma, racial trauma, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, gender-based violence, support for trans and gender diverse folks, religious and spiritual issues, depression and anxiety.
Sherise has a passion for helping others love and accept themselves. Her role as a counsellor is to help individuals understand their inherent value.
