Yohanna Beraki (She/Her) | Psychotherapist Qualifying
Yohanna Weldu Beraki is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and a member of the Ontario Society of Registered Psychotherapists.
As a first-generation Eritrean Canadian, her lived experiences as a Black woman and daughter of immigrants deeply inform her approach to Therapy. She is passionate about providing culturally responsive and affirming care that centres the experiences of Black women and other racialized folks. Prior to her journey as a psychotherapist, Yohanna worked as an instructor therapist, providing ABA therapy to neurodiverse children, teens, and adults.
Yohanna takes a relational and client-centred approach to therapy, recognizing that
Healing is not one-size-fits-all. She integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative
Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and compassion-based therapy while also drawing from body-based approaches, interpersonal psychotherapy, and an attachment lens to support deeper emotional healing.
Yohanna works with clients navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life
transitions, grief and loss, trauma, self-esteem, and burnout. She believes in the power of community healing and aims to create safer and supportive spaces where clients feel seen and understood as they explore their identities and reconnect with their authentic selves.
