As a first generation Canadian born to Trinidadian parents, A wife, mother, sister and friend, DaLissa has personally encountered many of the challenges life often brings. It is these lived experiences, in addition to her education in Psychology, Kinesiology, and 15 years working in commercial and rehabilitative fitness, that have afforded her the ability to help transform the lives of her clients from the inside out for many years.
As a Black female therapist, It is her personal belief that there is nothing a woman cannot accomplish or overcome. As such, DaLissa employ’s a client-centered therapeutic approach, facilitated in conjunction with other therapeutic modalities that may be required to bring this ideal to fruition.
DaLissa’s specialty in her work as a Black counsellor is partnering with women who need empowerment or affirmation to regain control of aspects of their lives that they feel need improvement. Achieving wellness from the inside out is something DaLissa is very passionate about. For this reason, she understands that not everything works for everyone and prides herself in meeting every client exactly where they are at; collectively starting their therapeutic journey upwards and onwards from there.
